NYU School of Medicine’s Applied Bioinformatics Laboratories provide computational analysis for high-throughput genomic data, including but not limited to next-generation sequencing data. Our mission is to accelerate scientific discoveries by guiding experimental design, performing robust data quality assessment, and carrying out comprehensive computational analyses.

To reserve time on an instrument, faculty, staff, and investigators must be registered in iLab. We have also provided iLab login instructions for NYU Langone, NYU, NYU College of Dentistry, and external users.

In close collaboration with the Genome Technology Center, we deliver results to our scientific community, as well as to external academic and nonacademic collaborators. Our streamlined technologies include analysis of data obtained by RNA and DNA sequencing (RNA- and DNA-seq) and chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing (ChIP-seq), as well as Hi-C sequencing (Hi-C-seq), bisulfite sequencing, and single-cell RNA-seq.

Specialized services include metagenomics analyses, long noncoding RNA discovery, and data integration.

We also partner with investigators in long-term collaborations and can customize our computational pipelines to your study parameters using some of the most powerful tools available. By developing computational pipelines, methods, and analysis tools, we ensure the validity of experimental data and generate reliable, reproducible, and insightful results.

Our bioinformaticians are continually innovating efficient and insightful approaches to data analysis, such as our recently released platforms for reproducible Hi-C analysis and long noncoding RNA discovery. Consequently, our collaborators are among the most successful scientists in the field.

Our bioinformatics analysts have co-authored high-impact studies, including those by Ntziachristos and colleagues in Nature in 2014, Trimarchi and colleagues in Cell in 2014, and Tee and colleagues in Cell in 2014, and contributed to dozens of other publications and successful grant applications.

Genomic Data Sequencing Results

For standardized technologies such as RNA-seq, DNA-seq, and ChIP-seq, our team provides researchers the results of genomic analysis within two weeks of a request. All raw data and analysis files are available for you to view and download as soon as work is completed.

All of our technologies are available at competitive rates so that we can perform the complex tasks that would otherwise take you away from higher-level research.
