Electronic cigarettes as a harm reduction strategy in people living with HIV/AIDS
We are conducting a research study to understand and determine the effectiveness of electronic cigarettes versus nicotine replacement therapy in adults who smoke and also live with HIV/AIDS in effort to reduce cigarette smoking. We hope, although we are not sure, that one of these methods is less dangerous to your health than traditional cigarettes. This study will shed some light on what may help patients like you reduce the harm associated with their daily cigarette usage and potentially improve their health.

Elucidating Neural Mechanisms and Sex Differences in Response to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in Generalized Anxiety Disorder
The purpose of this research study is to understand to how Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)compared to a Stress Education (SE) class works for patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Specifically we want to understand brain changes (“neural mechanisms”) that contribute to reduction inGAD symptoms with MBSR treatment compared to Stress Education (SE), and to examine the degree to which treatment response may be explained by sex differences in these neural mechanisms. GAD is a mental health disorder with specific core features, such as worry and anxiety about the future that lasts for at least 6 months.
EMBER-4: A Randomized Open-Label Phase 3 Study of Adjuvant Imlunestrant vs Standard Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy in Patients who have Previously Received 2 to 5 years of Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy for ER+ HER2- Early Breast Cancer with an Increased Risk of Recurrence.
You can participate in this study if you are diagnosed with ER+, HER2- Early Breast Cancer (Stages I-III) with an Increased Risk of Recurrence. And have Previously Received 2 to 5 years of Endocrine Therapy for ER+, HER2.The main purpose of this study is to evaluate how well the study drug (imlunestrant) works compared to the Standard of care endocrine therapy of physician’s choice. The study also assess the Safety, Tolerability, and Efficacy of the study drug. The study is also being done to learn more about how the study drug is absorbed (taken up in the body), metabolized (broken down by the body), distributed (circulated in the body), and eliminated (passed out of the body). The patients will be monitored and taken care of while on this medication during the entire study period.
