Institute for Computational Medicine Openings for Principal Investigators
NYU Grossman School of Medicine is hiring tenure-track faculty at the assistant and associate professor levels at the Institute for Computational Medicine.
Headed by Itai Yanai, PhD, the institute is a hub for computational biology research, tackling complex and dynamic systems with a focus on medically-related challenges. Of particular interest are the fields of cancer biology, adaptive immune systems, and population health, where integration of large and diverse datasets and modeling of complex biological systems are required.
We seek collaborative colleagues with a focus on computational algorithm development, machine learning approaches, and large-scale multi-omics integration. The Institute for Computational Medicine occupies “wet” and “dry” space at NYU Langone’s Manhattan campus with modern facilities, and our faculty take advantage of the rich clinical, basic, and translational research landscape throughout our medical center. During the 2021–22 season we are searching for a candidate whose research is primarily computational.
The successful candidate will hold a primary appointment in one of the many relevant NYU Langone departments, and will have opportunities to participate in one or more graduate programs. Principal investigators are expected to lead their own research programs as well as foster collaborations throughout NYU Langone.
Candidates can apply online by submitting a CV and research plan as a consolidated PDF by November 1, 2021. Letters of recommendations are not required upon initial submission, but will be solicited for finalists. Candidates who are chosen to advance to the interview stage must be available to participate in a group interview event to be held on February 3, 2022.
