Lerner Holistic Integrative Health Nursing Fellowship Overview & Curriculum

NYU Langone’s Lerner Holistic Integrative Health Nursing Fellowship is designed to offer a foundational understanding of holistic nursing and integrative health, while enabling trainees to build resiliency skills and instantly apply proven techniques to their practice. Through the generosity of Helaine and the late Sid Lerner, this nine-month program is meticulously designed to advance the professional development of nursing fellows through a comprehensive curriculum encompassing American Nurses Credentialing Corporation (ANCC)–approved courses.

The fellowship offers a diverse curriculum and includes philosophy, theory, ethics, integrative health, mind–body connection, self-reflection, and holistic communication. By elevating person-centered care, implementing innovative care models, and promoting professional growth, this fellowship reinforces our commitment to excellence in nursing care, improving patient outcomes, and advancing nursing practice while priming nurses to become leaders of whole health in their institution.

Fellows should expect to dedicate an additional 11.5 hours of each month toward project-based work, mentorship, and self-learning and reflection. These tasks may be completed either virtually, or at your work site.
