We provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for people with a wide range of digestive diseases.

Gastroenterologists, hepatologists, transplant hepatologists, advanced endoscopists, and other specialists in NYU Langone’s Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology collaborate to provide advanced options to prevent, screen for, diagnose, and treat diseases and conditions of the digestive system. In addition to our general gastroenterology services, we offer several specialized programs of excellence. Advanced Endoscopy and Therapeutic Innovation Program

The Advanced Endoscopy and Therapeutic Innovation Program, directed by Gregory B. Haber, MD, offers a complete range of advanced endoscopic procedures, including the latest in screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic modalities.

Center for Esophageal Health

The team at the Center for Esophageal Health, led by medical director Abraham R. Khan, MD, and surgical director Tanuja Damani, MD, offers technologically advanced, multidisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic care—medical, endoscopic, and surgical—for people who are experiencing esophageal symptoms or conditions including chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD); hiatal hernia; Barrett’s esophagus; eosinophilic esophagitis; esophageal varices; swallowing disorders such as achalasia, stricture, or spasm; and esophageal cancer.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center

The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, led by Feza Remzi, MD, and David P. Hudesman, MD, provides comprehensive and integrated diagnosis, treatment, and care for people who have inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Liver Care and Transplant Program

Experts in our Liver Care and Transplant Program, overseen by Ira M. Jacobson, MD, director, hepatology, and Patrick G. Northup, MD, MHS, medical director, adult liver transplant program, provide highly-specialized, advanced care for people who are at risk for or who have a liver condition such as liver cancer, chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, fibrosis, hepatitis, and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
