Vice Chair Abigail Ford Winkel, MD is dedicated to promoting women's health through excellence in undergraduate, graduate and continuing education.
This division's mission is to plan, design and conduct research on the causes of health problems in women with the ultimate goal of understanding the biologic, lifestyle and social determinants of these conditions in order to reduce their burden by preventing their occurrence and improving clinical outcomes.
Director Amitasrigowri Murthy, MD heads this division in researching the medications and devices that become standard care, ensuring that our medical students and residents are up-to-date on contraceptive technology, and specializing in the services that are vital to women's health.
Director Veronica Ades, MD, MPH guides this division, believing that the ability to administer healthcare in all circumstances and settings, whether at home or abroad, adds value to the learning experience while increasing cultural exchange and awareness at the global level.
Director Douglas A. Levine, MD oversees this division, uniting its status as a premiere research institution, excellence in patient care and role as a teaching hospital in one of the most diverse patient populations to deliver a multidisciplinary program committed to improving women’s healthcare.
Director Ashley Roman, MD, MPH guides this division which includes researchers and perinatologists, joining together to improve clinical experiences and ensure that both mother and fetus receive world-class care.
Director Ilan E. Timor-Tritsch, MD leads this division as it strives to identify potential obstetrical, medical or fetal problems as early as possible, providing clinically relevant diagnoses of gynecologic diseases, enriching the education of our medical students and residents and spanning ongoing research projects in obstetrics, gynecology and gyno-oncology.
Director James A. Grifo, MD, PhD heads this division, combining academic, scientific and technical expertise so skilled that is has culminated in one of the most respected fertility programs and clinical divisions in the country.
Director Scott W. Smilen, MD oversees this division as it incorporates ongoing research into clinical practice, as well as into the academic encounters shared with medical students, residents and fellows.
