Environmental Pediatrics

The mission of the Division of Environmental Pediatrics at NYU School of Medicine is to protect children from environmental hazards.

We achieve this goal through targeted research to identify exposures that contribute to chronic conditions which ever increasing among children worldwide. We also document the health and economic consequences of failing to implement policies that adequately protect our most precious resource.  Ultimately, we need a coordinated program of clinical care, research and policy to achieve this ambitious goal.  Our team has executed children's environmental health studies in four continents, and advised local, national, foreign and global leaders about the most effective, state-of-the-art steps for prevention.
