Manhattan Psychiatric Center, a New York State Office of Mental Health Facility (OMH), offers inpatient and outpatient treatment for adults with mental illness. It serves patients who suffer from long term and persistent mental illness. It has approximately 359 inpatients, requiring intermediate or long-term hospital treatment.

Inpatient Mental Health Services are comprised of several specialty services: Hispanic Ward, STAIR Unit for patients with a history of interpersonal violence but are psychiatrically stable and able to participate in a cognitive/behavioral education program, Polydipsia Ward for patients with the medical condition of responsiveness to basic approaches at psychiatric stability.

Outpatient Mental Health Services are offered to anyone in need of mental health treatment through the General Clinic Treatment.
