Rockland Psychiatric Center, a 410 bed New York State Office of Mental Health Facility (OMH), provides contemporary treatment for individuals whose mental illness requires hospitalization. The focus is on treatment and stabilization, with the goal of preparing the patient for return to the community.

Inpatient Mental Health Services specialize in intermediate and extended inpatient treatment, mostly for patients suffering from severe and persistent psychiatric illnesses, such as schizophrenia, and dual diagnosis.

Outpatient Mental Health Services are provided through the supportive residential care at the Residential Care Facility for Adults and a State Operated Community Residence on campus. In addition, Rockland Psychiatric Center provides varying levels of community based mental health services in Rockland, Westchester, Orange and Sullivan counties and a specialized statewide service for people who are deaf and mentally ill.

The White Plains Service Center is an outpatient program operated by Rockland Psychiatric Center. The Center is housed in a beautifully renovated building located at 79 East Post Road, a few minutes from downtown White Plains. The Center provides a full range of mental health services to approximately 270 adults living in Westchester County. Services are individualized to meet the varied needs of the clients.
