Neuroradiology

Yvonne W Lui MD, Neuroradiology Section Chief

Welcome. Here at NYU Langone Medical Center, the Neuroradiology Section is committed to the highest standards of patient care, dedicated to teaching the next generation of physicians and devoted to the pursuit of cutting-edge research in imaging of neurological and otorhinolaryngological disorders. We work in active multidisciplinary collaboration with specialists from neurosurgery, neurology, oncology, otorhinolaryngology, oromaxillofacial surgery, ophthalmology as well as pediatrics.

We perform over to 40,000 imaging studies a year and have broad clinical expertise in all areas of neuroimaging. We use the latest in imaging technology and equipment to best serve our patients both in and out of the hospital. We have several conveniently located outpatient imaging facilities as well as staffing two major metropolitan hospitals: Tisch Hospital and Bellevue Hospital Center.

The Section is composed of 11 board-certified and subspecialty board-certified neuroradiologists, 6 clinical fellows and 1 research fellow. Collectively, our faculty are among the most widely published clinician-scientists in the field with nationally and internationally renowned experts. Several serve as editorial board members and reviewers for our specialty’s premier journals: Radiology and the American Journal of Neuroradiology. The Neuroradiology section maintains an active research program, with ongoing projects in concussion, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, dementia, stroke, head and neck cancer, and otology. Our faculty are active members of the Bernard and Irene Schwartz Center for Biomedical Imaging, which houses two 3-tesla MRI scanners, one 7-tesla whole-body MRI, and a state-of-the-art PET/MRI.
