Members of the Thoracic Imaging Division have broad research interests, including:

  • Dual-energy and multi-detector CT technology
  • Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) in lung cancer detection and quantitative analysis of the lung
  • CT guided ultra-thin bronchoscopy
  • Volumetric CT data management and manipulation
  • High-resolution CT
  • Lung nodule characterization
  • Airways disease
  • Medical and resident education

The Thoracic Imaging Division at NYU Langone Medical Center includes widely-published researchers and highly sought-after speakers.  Active research includes lung nodule detection and characterization utilizing refined and novel CT imaging techniques.  In addition, management of ground-glass, partly solid, and solid lung nodules is another important area of ongoing research.
