Meta-Research Collaborative

The Meta-Research Collaborative at NYU Langone promotes robust science through an interdisciplinary approach that examines research methods and practices with the same rigor given to other areas of scientific inquiry.
Based at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, we bring together researchers across the NYU community around a shared focus on meta-research (research on research) to promote collaboration and expand the dissemination and impact of meta-research.
Meta-Research Collaborative members span disciplines and encompass expertise on a broad spectrum of topics and methods to understand and improve how research is performed, communicated, verified, evaluated, incentivized, and supported. By fostering innovation and collaboration, we strive to empower researchers and decision-makers with new tools to identify and adopt effective research policies, practices, and methods.
In collaboration with other NYU schools and colleges and the broader Meta-Research Collaborative network, our research team studies and creates innovative research methods and practices. Our lab explores the implementation of emerging technologies in research operations, mechanisms to promote collaborative research, development of researcher career path training, enhancements of research processes, and innovations in evidence synthesis.
