Dr. Schneider received his MD from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and completed his postdoctoral training at Princeton University. He has served on the board of directors for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, New York affiliate; on the Department of Defense Advisory Council for Breast Cancer Research Program; as director of the International Consortium for Inflammatory Breast Cancer; and as chair of the Avon Foundation International Breast Cancer Conference. He was part of the ABC TV special “Breast Cancer: New Protocols and Greater Hope,” which won a New York Emmy Award in 2011.
