Torres-Vázquez Lab | NYU Langone Health

Torres-Vázquez Lab

We study the cellular and molecular mechanisms that enable the development and function of the vasculature in health and disease.

In the Torres-Vázquez Lab at NYU Langone, we employ the transparent zebrafish embryo as our primary model system to understand how blood and lymphatic vessels form and function. Our toolkit includes confocal imaging, gene expression analysis, forced gene expression, transgenesis, genome editing, cell transplantation, cell culture, and biochemistry.
