Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists

 

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists specialize in all aspects of pre-operative, intra- operative and post-operative care and provide over 34 million anesthetics a year throughout the United States. At NYU Langone Medical Center, CRNAs are an integral part of the Department of Anesthesiology and work in collaboration with physicians, as part of the Anesthesia Care Team.

The diverse staff, comprised of over 50 CRNA members, provides anesthesia care throughout the main campus at Tisch Hospital and at associated facilities including the Hospital for Joint Diseases, the Ambulatory Care Center and Outpatient Surgical Center.

CRNAs at NYULMC are trained to work with a variety of high acuity patients and in subspecialties such as Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Electrophysiology, Urology, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Vascular, Cardiac, General, and Plastic Surgery.
