Researchers in the Vaccine Center have led NYU Langone’s efforts to develop new vaccines and treatments against diseases of public health importance.

Since spring 2020, our researchers have partnered with major pharmaceutical companies to participate in clinical trials to test vaccines, COVID-19 antibody therapy, and other treatment strategies.

As a National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)–designated Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit (VTEU), the Vaccine Center has also been participating in multiple studies to help NIAID’s effort to develop vaccines and treatments against diseases of public health importance, such as SARS-CoV-2 infection, which causes COVID-19.
