Research Training

The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry offers an enriched environment for scientific research not only into new treatments, but also into the risks, predictors, and causes of childhood mental disorders. The Center's psychiatric investigators benefit from exciting collaborations with scientists of the NYU School of Medicine, NYU School of Education, the NYU Center for Neural Science (Research Unit for Pediatric Psychopharmacology, RUPP) and the Nathan Kline Psychiatric Institute.

The Center is one of only seven federally funded Research Units for Pediatric Psychopharmacology in the nation to offer free clinical trials for children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders.
