Community Crisis Response Program

Tragic events strike communities and can deeply affect the lives of children and families. Our Community Crisis Response Program is called to work with children, families, schools, and communities to facilitate recovery and to identify those most at risk so that they may get the treatment. We offer the following services:

  • Consultation with leaders of community organizations and schools to help them best respond in the wake of tragedy and to determine if on site expertise is needed
  • On site community intervention with providers and children and families to help them best recover after the event.
  • Implementation of a screening program to help identify those most at risk for traumatic stress reactions and assistance referring such individuals to treatment.
  • Consultation with agencies to help them best prepare for the occurrence of tragedy.
  • Research and program evaluation consultation.
