Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Pharmacology Education
Faculty in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at NYU Langone mentor doctoral candidates, MD/PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows pursuing careers in the biomedical sciences.
In addition to biochemistry and molecular pharmacology, our faculty have expertise in research areas including biomedical informatics, computational biology, developmental genetics, microbiology, molecular biophysics, molecular oncology and tumor immunology, neuroscience and physiology, and stem cell biology.
Our trainees join accomplished research teams and work in state-of-the-art laboratories, helping make breakthrough discoveries that improve healthcare.
PhD Training Programs
Offered through NYU Langone’s Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, our open PhD training programs in molecular pharmacology and cellular and molecular biology have flexible curricula and offer opportunities to pursue multidisciplinary research projects.
MD/PhD Training Program
Students who are pursuing dual MD and PhD degrees through the Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences can conduct research with our faculty. Our MD/PhD students train to become agile physician–scientists by merging cutting-edge research with clinical insight.
Postdoctoral Training Program
We welcome postdoctoral fellows to apply for research positions in our labs. NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s postdoctoral training program offers standardized wages, a support system through medical and research community events, professional development courses, and housing options.
