Research Support

We provide guidance and consultation to researchers in the early stages of study development and connect them with experts who can help guide experimental study design, assess data quality, assist with data analysis, build research teams, and recruit study participants. Research Funding

We offer two programs to help investigators secure funding—the Collaborative Translational Pilot Project Program for research that generates foundational preliminary data for future translational research grant applications and the Resource Allocation Program for use of Clinical and Translational Science Institute services. Data Management and Security

We ensure that the data collected in research projects at the Clinical and Translational Science Institute meet federal, state, and institutional standards for data management and security.

NYU Langone’s Office of Science and Research and Medical Center Information Technology (MCIT) provide investigators who are conducting clinical and basic science research with secure data management software that complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations on protecting health information.

Team Science and Collaboration

Translating Discoveries Into Applications Core

We develop, expand, and provide life sciences entrepreneurship training and guidance for students, postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows, and faculty. We are proud to share courses on entrepreneurship offered across our academic medical center and affiliated NYU schools and colleges that support clinical and translational science research and training. We hope access to these courses helps expand knowledge of relevant resources to speed and enhance discoveries related to medical devices, therapeutics, diagnostics, software, information systems, and artificial intelligence.

Survey and Evaluation Consultations

We provide guidance, expert advice, and referrals for survey design and evaluation best practices. We review and provide input on survey drafts and implementation plans, as well as on logic modeling, evaluation frameworks, and evaluation grantsmanship.
