Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship

The Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is a one-year fellowship accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) since 2006. Fellows successfully completing the program are eligible for board certification in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology per the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

As a fellow in the program, you rotate in the section of Mohs and dermatologic surgery at NYU Langone and develop expertise in removal of aggressive skin cancers, advanced reconstructive surgery, and a wide variety of cutaneous cosmetic and laser procedures.

Fellows rotate with John A. Carucci, MD, PhD, director of the fellowship program and chief of Mohs micrographic and dermatologic surgery at NYU Langone. You also rotate with Mary L. Stevenson, MD, associate director of the fellowship program. You are expected to participate in research in cutaneous oncology and surgery, submit abstracts for presentation at regional and national meetings, and prepare manuscripts for submission to respected journals. You will also have opportunities to teach dermatology residents and medical students.

How to Apply

Our fellowship participates in the SF Match. To apply, you must be board-eligible or board-certified in dermatology at the time you would begin your fellowship. We accept one fellow each year. Please refer to the SF Match for application materials and information.
