Critical Care Medicine Fellowship
The Critical Care Medicine Fellowship, offered through NYU Langone’s Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, is a two-year program that emphasizes a range of specialty areas, including pulmonology, neurology, cardiology, and post-surgical care. Led by Doreen J. Addrizzo-Harris, MD, fellowship director, our comprehensive curriculum provides critical care medicine clinical training through simulation and rotations in our medical and nonmedical intensive care units.
As a fellow, you participate in clinical rotations at NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital, NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, and the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System. You also have opportunities to train at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn.
In addition to clinical duties, we encourage academic inquiry and research to generate new knowledge and contribute to the field of critical care medicine. As a fellow, you have the unique opportunity to choose a research project in your second year that prepares you for a career in basic, translational, or clinical research.
Our outstanding faculty provide mentorship and support throughout your training to help you acquire the skills you need to achieve your career goals.
Fellowship Accreditation
Our Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The two-year program meets eligibility requirements for critical care medicine boards and trains graduates for a career of their choosing critical care medicine.
