Center for Quality & Patient Safety

The Center for Quality and Patient Safety was established by NYU Langone’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery to perform research and educate professionals and patients on the importance of quality and patient safety in the delivery of healthcare. To this aim, we initiate and conduct various research projects, patient education projects, and professional development programs.

The center occupies a leadership role both within NYU Langone and on a national scale in addressing issues of quality and safety. Through our research and peer education initiatives, clinicians both inside and outside the institution benefit from the programs and knowledge being developed at NYU Langone, including at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital.

We are guided by our mission, vision, and core values:

  • Our mission is to use research and education to advance the quality and safety of care for all patients.
  • Our vision is to be recognized as a global leader in quality and patient safety for musculoskeletal care.
  • Our core values are collaboration, leadership, and education.
