2017 APC Michele D. Raible Distinguished Teaching Award in Undergraduate Medical Education
Margret Magid, M.D.
We would like to congratulate Dr. Margret Magid for the 2017 APC Michele D. Raible Distinguished Teaching Award in Undergraduate Medical Education. This award is made in recognition of Dr. Magid’s extraordinary contributions to undergraduate medical education and her stature as a nationally recognized pathology educator and leader. Dr. Magid has been an innovative student course director, a member of the USMLE Step 1 Pathology Test Material Development Committee, and a leader in UMEDS. She has influenced tremendously the education of countless medical students and provided very effective leadership at the highest levels in the undergraduate medical education community. Her dedication and extraordinary leadership will have a lasting impact on medical students’ mastery of pathology and use of the clinical laboratory. Dr. Magid personifies the ideal of an academic pathologist that we are trying to promote here at NYU. We are very proud to have her in our Department.
