Resources for Prospective & Current Study Participants
At NYU Langone Health, study participants are a vital part of our research community. By participating in a clinical trial or research study, you help our scientists translate scientific breakthroughs into innovative medical care. You may also have access to emerging treatments and therapies that can make a difference in your own health and wellbeing.
If you’re thinking about enrolling in a trial or study for the first time, you probably have questions about the different types of clinical research and what participation entails. If you decide to become a study participant, we can connect you with researchers who are conducting a trial or study to explore new treatments that may help you.
If you are a current study participant, it’s important for you to know what your rights are and how to discuss your experiences with clinical research staff members if you have questions or concerns.

ResearchMatch is a free online tool designed to connect people who are trying to find clinical- or nonclinical trials and research studies and researchers who are looking for research participants. NYU Langone's Clinical and Translational Science Institute has partnered with other academic medical centers across the country to develop a national ResearchMatch volunteer registry and make it available to the general public. The national registry was developed by institutions affiliated with the Clinical and Translational Science Awards Program. Visit the ResearchMatch volunteer page to get started.
You can find studies being conducted at NYU Langone on clinicaltrials.gov, which is a registry and results database maintained by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Many of our studies are sponsored by NYU School of Medicine, and others are sponsored by outside industries, in particular those testing new drugs and devices. Studies sponsored by other organizations may not appear to be associated with NYU School of Medicine in the search results. Search the entire clinicaltrials.gov database using criteria including location, condition, or treatment to see additional studies.
NYU Langone Cancer Trial Database
At NYU Langone’s Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center, researchers seek participants for cancer trials and research studies. You can use our cancer clinical trials search to search for active trials by type of cancer or by investigator.
