Researchers at NYU Langone’s Cytometry and Cell Sorting Laboratory have access to FlowJo and FCS Express site licenses. Learn more about the software titles that NYU Langone has licensed for use (Kerberos ID and password required).

FlowJo

FlowJo is a popular software tool for the analysis of flow cytometric data, and its performance is optimized for computers running 64-bit operating systems.

The latest version of FlowJo is available for NYU Langone employees. Email rist@nyumc.org to request activation. You will receive an email inviting you to set up your FlowJo portal account.

Please note that MCIT will reclaim licenses that have not been used in nine months but they can easily reactivate them if needed.

FlowJo is available on Mac and Windows platforms.

FCS Express

To access FCS Express 7, you will need to have a De Novo Software website account. The De Novo Software website account credentials will also be the credentials used to access FCS Express 7.

If you have already created a De Novo Software account, you can login with your De Novo Software account credentials.

If you do not have a De Novo Software account, please create your account before proceeding. You will receive an email message that your account has been approved. Please note this could take some time while your site license administrator approves your account. Contact Russ Raymond at Russ.Raymond@NYULangone.org if you have not received approval.

FCS Express Download, Installation, and Configuration

After you have downloaded FCS Express, install it by launching the FCS Express 7 installer and follow the steps in the wizard to complete the installation. Make sure to choose “Stand Alone" when prompted.

After installation has been completed, run FCS Express 7. Follow the steps in the configuration file wizard:

• Choose the first option for “Automatically through this wizard, I already have a De Novo Software account."
• Enter your De Novo Software account credentials.
• Choose configuration file for your flow cytometry site license.
• Complete the wizard and FCS Express 7 will launch.

Enter your De Novo Software account credentials when prompted to start analyzing in FCS Express.
