Hours and Access

Our lab is open from 9:00AM to 5:30PM, Monday through Friday. Our staff offers full-service experiments, hands-on training for use of rental equipment and software, and consultation and guidance in experiment design.

Sample Submission and Turnaround Time

Researcher can drop off samples Monday to Friday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM, after submitting an iLab request. Please follow the guidelines specified within each form attached to your iLab request regarding sample format, plate layout, and additional details.

Turnaround time depends on the technology and the project, and we discuss relevant factors with you during the project consultation phase. If the project needs to be expedited for a grant or a paper, please discuss this with our staff when the samples are brought in and indicate this clearly on the forms. If we cannot readily accomplish the expedited project without disrupting our queue, a rush surcharge may be applied.

Scheduling Instrument Reservations

All our available instruments can be reserved using iLab. Researchers who reserve time using any of our instruments agree to our policies. In addition, we appreciate your acknowledgment of our services in all publications and media.

Fees

Our list of services and prices is available on iLab. You can register for an iLab account if you do not have one. This is a one-time registration process that enables users to access all NYU Langone core laboratories.

Pricing for each service includes the cost of consumables, technician time for each service, and a small percentage of any associated service contracts. As volume increases, we pass the resulting cost-savings on to users in the form of reduced prices.
