Health Insurance and Emergency Treatment for MD/PhD Candidates

NYU Grossman School of Medicine provides MD/PhD candidates with medical benefits, including health insurance provided by UnitedHealthcare^®. We also provide an optional dental plan through Cigna^® HMO and an optional vision plan through UnitedHealthcare^®. Coverage begins on September 1 and is renewed by calendar year.

Medical Student Health and Wellness Services

If you need to see a primary care provider, visit NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Student Health Service, located at 334 East 25th Street, suite 103, or an in-network UnitedHealthcare^®provider. Clinicians at our health and wellness services can also assist with referrals and finding in-network providers.

There is no need to make an appointment, and no referral is needed. There is no charge for care provided.
