Center for Human Genetics & Genomics Events

NYU Langone’s Center for Human Genetics and Genomics hosts seminars and events that feature leading researchers from around the world.

Our Genetic Medicine Colloquium brings together clinical and basic science faculty and trainees at NYU Langone who have an interest in clinical genetics. The program consists of presentations by local and invited faculty and staff who discuss a range of topics including new research, descriptions of local clinical needs or services that are genetics-oriented, and complex case reports involving genetics consults.

We collaborate with the Institute for System Genetics and the Institute for Computational Medicine to co-host the Genes, Systems, and Computation Seminar Series, which convenes scientists in complementary fields who are changing the landscape of genetic medicine.

We also participate in the Institute for Systems Genetics Nano Seminar and Social Hour Series, a casual forum in which scientists discuss new advances, research results, and ideas.

Mini Courses

Our mini courses on genetic testing provide an overview for clinicians that covers when to consider a genetic disease diagnosis, how to understand available genetic tests, and how to order genetic testing. See more details in the video below and in our genetic mini course slides.
