Administrative Director

Dr. Berti provides the center director with research administration support and strategy assistance. She has an MS in communications from the University of Milan and PhD in medical genetics from La Sapienza University of Rome. Dr. Berti trained and held various lab positions at Telethon Institute Genetics and Medicine and San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Italy, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and the University of Buffalo, with more than 20 years of experience in basic research and strong organizational experience in research administration.

Program Director, Genetics Education

Mrs. Cantor is a board-certified genetic counselor who joined NYU Langone and co-established the High-Risk Cancer Genetics Program in 2015. She joined Dr. David Beck’s team in January 2022, where she focused on providing genetic diagnoses for patients and research subjects with suspected immune dysregulation disorders. Anna has extensive education and training experience having established the genetic counseling internship at the HRCGP and serving as lead supervisor, spearheading an institution-wide cancer genetics conference for medical professionals, organizing numerous mini-courses, and serving as module co-director for first year medical school course.

Program Coordinator

Ms. McDonald has a year of experience managing daily administrative operations in an office environment. She earned her BS in healthcare management at Misericordia University College of Business in Dallas, PA.

Program Manager

Ms. Scarabino has more than 20 years of experience in the Human Resources department. She has prior affiliation as a program manager with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and team lead in the Pandemic Response Lab.

Grants Manager

Ms. Tapia has 21 years of finance experience, 15 years specifically in health care finance. Her previous experience in grants management were at Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University.

Administrative Assistant

Ms. Williams has over 4 years of administrative assistant experience, coming from the Mount Sinai Department of Dermatology. She earned her BS in Biology at Smith College in Northampton, MA.

Administrative Coordinator

Ms. Worosz has more than six years of experience managing the daily business operations of complex companies. She earned an undergraduate degree from the City University of New York—College of Staten Island.
