Center for Human Genetics & Genomics Education
The aims of such programs are to promote inclusion in the genetics and genomics sciences education at NYU Langone Health (NYULH). We provide learning opportunities and training for medical and graduate degree trainees, and physicians and non-physician healthcare workers, along with up-to-date practical knowledge and applications of the rapidly evolving field of human genetics.
We also work closely with members of our academic community to introduce young learners to genetics through mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Our educational programs aim to do the following:
- equip our medical and graduate trainees with the necessary skills to become clinical and research leaders in genetic medicine
- promote innovative clinical care based on genetic findings
- foster an interest in genetics within the larger community
- introduce prospective students to career options in genetics
