Geriatric Medicine Conferences

NYU Langone’s Division of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care offers numerous geriatric medicine conferences as part of physician training.

Geriatric Medicine Grand Rounds

Held each week, Geriatric Medicine Grand Rounds expose fellows and faculty to the latest updates in topics related to the care of older adults.

Geriatric Medicine Research Conference

Our monthly research conference increases fellows’ and faculty members’ understanding of the research process and exposes them to the breadth and depth of aging-related research taking place across NYU Langone and around the country.

Geriatric Medicine Journal Club

Each fellow prepares an article for presentation at Geriatric Medicine Journal Club twice over the course of the fellowship year.

Geriatric Medicine Morbidity and Mortality Conferences

Our morbidity and mortality conferences help fellows grow more comfortable with root cause analysis. Each fellow leads one of these conferences per year, presenting a clinical case that they have encountered.

Geriatric Medicine Fellow Core Conferences

The weekly fellow core conference series covers the gamut of geriatric medicine as well as narrative medicine and instruction on the fundamentals of teaching.

Multidisciplinary Conferences

Each month, our division collaborates with the Leon H. Charney Division of Cardiology for an innovative, multidisciplinary case-based conference. We also hold joint case-based conferences with the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. Many of our Geriatric Medicine Grand Rounds and research conferences are held in partnership with our palliative care colleagues. Our division trainees and faculty are highly encouraged to attend Internal Medicine Grand Rounds, held weekly on Wednesday mornings from September through June.
