Research Software for Neurologists

NYU Langone provides online software tools to support and enhance research activities, including those in the Department of Neurology. These tools include resources for ensuring research integrity, managing data, documenting experiments, scheduling services, and creating scientific figures. Statistical Software

Through MCIT, NYU Langone faculty and staff have access to research-grade statistical software, including SPSS, JMP, SAS, R, and Stata. Additionally, the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) has compiled biostatistics tools to help researchers calculate statistical power and sample sizes.

Endnote

Endnote, a software for managing bibliographic citations, is available through the NYU Health Sciences Library. To download EndNote and to access a step-by-step user guide, visit the NYU Health Sciences Library.

PubMed

PubMed is a database of citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. To obtain full text access as an NYU Langone employee, use the NYU Health Sciences Library PubMed and the document delivery service.

BioRender

BioRender is an online tool that allows researchers to create their own scientific figures for publications, posters, grant applications, and more (Kerberos ID and password required).

REDCap

REDCap is a HIPPA-approved and secure web platform for building and managing online databases and surveys.

Benchling

Benchling electronic lab notebook (E-lab Notebook) helps researchers to design, track, and document experiments and protocols digitally.

iLab

iLab is a web-based scheduling, ordering, and billing system for core service and instrument reservation requests.

iThenticate
