NYU Langone’s blood bank and transfusion service has multiple locations and is overseen by six physicians certified by the American Board of Pathology in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine. Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The blood bank provides laboratory support for all transfusions within the NYU Langone Health system, including patient testing and immunohematology evaluation as well as blood component management and preparation. The transfusion service also provides support for a variety of inpatient and outpatient apheresis procedures.
