Division of Medical Ethics Education

The Division of Medical Ethics offers courses in NYU Grossman School of Medicine graduate programs and an array of educational resources and training.

Medical Ethics in Graduate Education

Our faculty teach courses in the MD degree at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and provide teaching and mentorship for the MD/MA in bioethics and the Rudin Medical Ethics and Humanities Fellowship, which supports medical and graduate students, residents, and clinical fellows who have research interests in medical humanities and biomedical ethics.

We work with the NYU College of Global Public Health to offer educational opportunities to graduates and postgraduates through the Master of Arts in Bioethics.

NYU-University of Ghana Research Integrity Training Program

The NYU-University of Ghana Research Integrity Training Program is a collaborative endeavor between the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and the University of Ghana. It is designed to develop expertise related to research ethics, research integrity, and research governance in Ghana.

We are pleased to announce that three fellows from our 2019 inaugural cohort have begun the MA in Bioethics program at the NYU Center for Bioethics: Kwame Kesse Adjei, MPH; Adolf Kofi Awua, PhD; and Samuel Asiedu Owusu, PhD. We look forward to welcoming Kwame, Adolf, and Samuel to NYU for their in-residence semester in spring 2021.

Summer Ethics Training for Global Health Professionals

Each summer, we host Western Institutional Review Board–Copernicus Group’s International Fellows Program. This program trains global health professionals who want to establish or improve institutional review boards.

High School Bioethics Project

Our High School Bioethics Project works to improve secondary education through bioethics pedagogy.
