Medical Ethics Visiting Scholar Program
The Visiting Scholar Program in NYU Langone’s Division of Medical Ethics offers scholars from other institutions the opportunity to work with our team of faculty and research assistants in New York City. As a visiting scholar, you can spend from one week to three months working with us on areas such as research ethics, sports ethics, transplantation ethics, and clinical ethics.
Visiting scholars have a desk at the Division of Medical Ethics and administrative and travel planning support. We do not provide funding for lodging or transportation.
Eligibility and Application
Visiting scholar applicants should have a PhD, JD, MD, or a master’s degree, and an interest in our areas of research.
To apply, please send your CV and a short statement explaining why you would like to be a visiting scholar to David J. Alfandre, MD, MPH, chair of the visiting scholar committee, at firstname.lastname@example.org, with “Visiting Scholar” in the subject line.
We review all applications on a quarterly basis, and there is no deadline. A selection committee of Division of Medical Ethics faculty and faculty affiliates reviews applications and selects visiting scholars.
