Disparities Research Collaborative
The Disparities Research Collaborative (DRC) is a mental health research body comprising Department of Psychiatry faculty who are actively engaged in innovative research focused on disparities spanning all mental health conditions, including substance use.
The collaborative has an intentional critical focus on the intersectional impact of interpersonal, institutional, and structural racism on the emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of Black people, as well as other racialized and otherwise systematically minoritized communities using an intersectional lens.
The DRC provides a dynamic space for collaboration and partnership on manuscript development, pilot data collection, faculty mentoring, and the development of novel research questions, and robust study designs including implementation science delivered in community and clinical settings.
