The mission of NYU Langone’s Immunogenetics Laboratory is to provide diagnostic results for NYU Langone’s Transplant Institute, which follows strict histocompatibility and transplant monitoring protocols.
Our laboratory specialists offer healthcare providers diagnostic support for transplant immunology, disease association, and pharmacogenetics for patients awaiting solid organ and stem cell transplant.
By delivering high-quality diagnostic test results, we enable medical teams to provide high-quality clinical care.
Diagnostic Expertise
Our team provides comprehensive, state-of-the art diagnostic capabilities and deep expertise in transplant immunology to support the following:
- solid organ transplantation
- stem cell transplantation
- vascularized composite allograft transplantation
- human leukocyte antigen (HLA) disease association
- HLA pharmacogenetics
Our Role in Research and Education
As part of our commitment to educating the next generation of scientists, our lab offers transplant fellowship rotations and a medical technologist elective rotation. We also provide immunogenetic diagnostic services to transplant clinical trials at NYU Langone.
