Moises Rodriguez, Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) Student

Moises Rodriguez

Moises is an undergraduate at CUNY Medgar Evers College. He is studying Biology.  A student of the SEEK program, (Search for Elevation Education and Knowledge) as well as the RISE program, (Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement). Moises' future plans includes earning a PhD in biomedical research.

As a  student in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP), Moises joined the Diabetes Research Program this summer to study RAGE and DIAPH1. In particular, his research focuses on their unique functions in discrete time periods of development vs. aging.

Moises is interested in studying bacteriophages. It is his goal to provide a means to help make bacteriophages a more prevalent biomedical alternative to tackling bacterial pathogens.
