Throughout all years of child neurology training, our residents participate in their own child neurology continuity clinic which is located in the Ambulatory Care Center at Bellevue Hospital, home to the first pediatric clinic in the country. Residents see their own continuity patients a minimum of a half-day weekly throughout training, with an additional two half-days a week while on the outpatient clinical service the last two years of training (3 months each year). This offers an exceptionally strong outpatient child neurology experience throughout training with exposure to a broad spectrum of patients (both diagnostically and demographically).

During their CN1 year, residents also have a half-day of adult neurology clinic at Bellevue as part of their adult neurology experience, ensuring solid exposure during training to adult outpatient neurology conditions and management.

While on selective and elective rotations there is additional training and exposure to outpatient child neurology management in both subspecialty and private practice settings including--but not limited to--child development, dysautonomia, epilepsy, neuro-oncology / neurofibromatosis / tuberous sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, neurologic rehabilitation, neurogenetics and neurometabolic disease, neuro-ophthalmology, and general child neurology private practice.
