Apply to the NYU Masters Program in Bioethics for Fall 2013!

The Master’s Program promotes a broad conception of bioethics that encompasses both traditional, health care ethics such as research ethics and clinical ethics, and new subfields such as environmental ethics and neuroethics.

The Program offers

  • Unique, one-on-one student advising and small class sizes;
  • Training in developing analytical and critical thinking skills pertaining to pressing novel ethical issues arising out of health care/research settings;
  • Opportunity to take courses from leading bioethicists and in top-ranked Departments of Philosophy, Psychology, Anthropology, and Environmental Medicine, as well as in the School of Medicine, the Wagner School of Public Service, the Global Institute of Public Health and the School of Law at NYU;
  • A Practicum in health and environmental organizations and projects in the greater New York area and abroad. Students have worked at the President's Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues, the American Medical Association, the National Institutes of Health, the Pan American Health Organization, and Mumbai’s King Edward Memorial Hospital.
