A judge has approved the use of a "truth serum" interview in the case of accused Colorado shooter James Holmes. However, Arthur Caplan, PhD, points out that truth serum does not truly exist. It is mostly a product of Hollywood imagination. It will not help to determine whether Holmes was sane or not during the shootings.

Art Caplan, PhD, will serve as keynote speaker at the New York City Adult Immunization Coalition's quarterly meeting on April 4, 2013. The meeting is from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon (registration and light refreshments begin at 9:30 AM). Dr. Caplan will be discussing the ethics of mandatory healthcare worker vaccination.
