NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center has a robust clinical trials program, allowing pediatric and adult patients the possibility to access new anti-seizure medications or novel treatments before they come to market.

Led by Jacqueline A. French, MD, and Blanca Vazquez, MD, clinical trials directors, and Claude Steriade, MD, clinical trials co-director, patients at the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center have taken part in more than 100 multicenter studies for treating both focal and generalized epilepsy.

Patients are screened for eligibility by our study team and doctors. If eligible, patients can be enrolled in a clinical trial and receive experimental treatment and regular evaluation by the research staff to assess how safe and effective the drug or treatment under study is.
