Administration

Our administration leads a team of faculty and staff who investigate how public policy and neighborhood and other environmental factors impact people’s health and the choices they make.

Brian D. Elbel, PhD, MPH, Director

Dr. Elbel examines how policies and the environment influence health and health behaviors, particularly obesity and chronic disease, for children and adults. He uses statistical and econometric methods and diverse data sources, including administrative, sales and other data, to understand health outcomes.
