Reproductive, Gender, and Sexuality Ethics Research Group
The mission of the Reproductive, Gender, and Sexuality Ethics Research Group (RGSE) is to improve equity of healthcare access and outcomes for people experiencing medical or social infertility, transgender and gender diverse individuals, and gay, lesbian, and pan- and bisexual people by attending to emerging issues, ethical and clinical, within these populations. In partnership with community members on engagement in clinical care, research, education, and advocacy, RGSE strives to unite theoretical and applied perspectives on ethics to provide high-quality healthcare to these communities across the lifespan.
RGSE draws on expertise from the disciplines of bioethics, psychiatry, psychology, public health, social work, plastic surgery, endocrinology, reproductive medicine, pediatrics, and law. Our group is composed of members of the Division of Medical Ethics, Population Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery.
RGSE works to promote access to safe and effective patient- and family-centered care and support. To contact this working group, please email: Gwendolyn Quinn at Gwendolyn.Quinn@NYULangone.org.
