Division of Surgical Oncology
The mission of NYU Langone Health’s Division of Surgical Oncology is to provide the most advanced surgical treatments to people with cancer, train tomorrow’s surgical oncologists, and conduct lab, clinical, and population-based cancer research.
Surgical Oncology Education
Our division provides education opportunities for NYU Grossman School of Medicine medical students, residents, and fellows.
Medical students in the Advanced Surgery Clerkship spend a four-week block on our services. Trainees in the General Surgery Residency in Manhattan and General Surgery Residency at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn train with our internationally known faculty during surgical oncology rotations.
Our Breast Surgery Fellowship, which is accredited by the Society of Surgical Oncology, equips trainees with the critical skills and experience required to practice in this in-demand subspecialty.
Surgical Oncology Clinical Services
As part of Perlmutter Cancer Center, a National Institutes of Health–designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, our surgeons treat people with a wide range of cancers. In addition, we provide world-class care through the following specialized programs:
