Comprehensive treatment of adult and pediatric spine disorders is provided by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery's Spine Division, including complex spine problems associated with growth disorders, neuromuscular disorders, and myelomeningocele (Spina bifida). Surgical care spans the entire spectrum of spinal disorders in children and adults, including spinal deformity, degenerative disease, trauma, tumors, and infections of the spine, among numerous others.

Physicians in the Spine program use the most advanced techniques to treat spinal conditions including minimally invasive surgery to treat herniated or ruptured discs, scoliosis, kyphosis and other conditions. However, our physicians also emphasize non-invasive treatments and preventive medicine.
