Clinical Rotation in Orthopaedic Hand Surgery

Residents complete a two-month rotation in the hand service during either the third or fourth year of the orthopaedic surgery residency program and are actively involved in the operative and non-operative management of patients. The experience covers a variety of hand and wrist disorders and is supervised by three clinical fellows and the attending staff.

Two outpatient clinics are held weekly at NYU Langone Medical Center’s Hospital for Joint Diseases with additional experience acquired by assisting attendings during office hours. The weekly Hand Conference provides residents with further didactic experience.
