Clinical Rotation in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine

Residents participate in a Sports Medicine rotation during either the third or fourth year of the orthopaedic surgery residency program. The rotation is based at both Tisch Hospital and NYU Langone Medical Center’s Hospital for Joint Diseases and provides an opportunity for residents to participate in a large number of arthroscopic and open surgeries in the sports medicine arena.

In addition to using the operative experience to improve surgical techniques, residents participate in weekly outpatient clinics and assist the attending staff with office hours. The residents also work closely with two fellows and under the direct supervision of attending staff.
