Pediatrics Fellowships

The Department of Pediatrics at NYU Langone offers fellowship programs in several pediatric subspecialties. Department fellowships prepare trainees for careers in pediatrics by providing educational opportunities in clinical care and research. Fellows participate in outpatient and inpatient care at locations including Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, and NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. In addition, they serve as clinical and educational instructors for the department’s house staff.

Fellows may perform basic, translational, and clinical research under the guidance of faculty clinicians and investigators. Depending on the subspecialty, research may focus on improving the care of patients with hematologic–oncologic and neuro-oncologic conditions, researching new treatments for children with rheumatic diseases, or investigating genetic factors in conditions and developmental delays that affect children.

The department offers Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)–accredited fellowships in the following subspecialties:

In addition, the department offers fellowship training that is not accredited by the ACGME in the following areas: academic general pediatrics and pediatric neuro-oncology.
